Perfect Love, Rev. Steve Clifton
A Matter of the Heart
This is the second message in a new sermon series entitled ‘Life Changing Encounters’, based on Scripture found in Luke 18:18-27. In this message we meet a man who had compromised loyalties; he loved his treasure and tried to love Jesus too! He found out a relationship with the living God took more than just obedience. The Lord demanded his whole heart and his full devotion. With that being said, is Jesus your life or just a convenient add on? He deserves complete control of our hearts.
Matthew’s New Mission
This is the first message in a new sermon series entitled ‘Life Changing Encounters’ based on Scripture found in Luke 5:27-32. Here we meet a wicked tax collector that realizes God loves him just the way he is. We also realize that the grace of God reaches out to all of us with a voice that cries out Follow Me. Even though there will sadly be many who will never understand their desperate need for God, We should do all we can to get His message of Amazing love out to the world. Are you ready to be Loud for Jesus?
Heroes to Remember
This is the message that was preached during our Memorial Day celebration based on Scripture found in 1 Chronicles 11:10-19. This sermon looks at some of the amazing feats of David’s mighty men and compares them to the incredible acts of bravery our country has seen displayed on battle fields around the world. Every American owes their freedom to the grace of God and the courage of our fearless soldiers. In this passage we will be reminded that every military hero has served with courage, with devotion, and with loyalty. Let us always be grateful for the costly sacrifices that have been given so we could be free!
A Mother’s Heart
This is a mother’s day message based on Scripture found in 2 Kings 4:8-24. Here we meet a woman who is over flowing with compassion and is blessed by God with a miraculous baby boy. Just like every good mother; she loves this child, cares for him, and does all to protect him. This mother shows amazing strength and a deep abiding faith even in the midst of great pain. She and all the moms deserve to be honored for all their amazing gifts of service, everyone wrapped in God’s love
The Cost of Discipleship
This is the third message in a sermon series entitled ‘Marks of a Disciple’, based on Scripture found in Luke 9:57-62. Many times when we think about following Jesus we only think about all the blessings, but leave out the responsibilities. Today we will meet three would be followers that were not willing to lay aside their worldly treasure, time, and comforts to serve the Lord. Jesus wants true devoted servants that are willing to take up their cross and follow Him. Are you ready to say Yes to Jesus?
Attitude of a Soldier
This is the second message of a sermon series entitled, Keeping our Sanity in an insane World. This sermon was preached on Veteran’s Day weekend and is based on Scripture found in Philippians 2:12-18. Something amazing happens in our own hearts as we serve in perfect unity and flavor our world with God’s love. When we serve faithfully and give our very best, the rewards we reap will bless us now and bring dividends for all eternity. Are you ready to discover the joy of serving in the Lord’s army?
The Power of the Blood
A message from a sermon series entitled the Best Way, based on Hebrews 9:11-28. In this message we will discover the sufficiency of Jesus’ sacrifice to cleanse our sin. We will learn of the incredible promise that was put into effect by His blood. Finally, we will get to take an amazing peek at the Heavenly Temple where Jesus is still serving. When we truly realize the power of The Blood our lives will never be the same!
A Better Priest
Another message in a sermon series entitled, “The Best Way”, based on Scripture found in Hebrews 7:11-28. The priests that served God’s people in the Old Testament had an important position to fill, they were a shadowy picture of the Glorious High Priest that was to come. Jesus is a powerful priest, a permanent priest, and a perfect High Priest; who’s ministry far exceeds what the earthly priests could do. I hope you know Him as both Priest and King.
