Heroes to Remember
This is the message that was preached during our Memorial Day celebration based on Scripture found in 1 Chronicles 11:10-19. This sermon looks at some of the amazing feats of David’s mighty men and compares them to the incredible acts of bravery our country has seen displayed on battle fields around the world. Every American owes their freedom to the grace of God and the courage of our fearless soldiers. In this passage we will be reminded that every military hero has served with courage, with devotion, and with loyalty. Let us always be grateful for the costly sacrifices that have been given so we could be free!
A Steadfast Soldier
Message #7 in a sermon series entitled ‘Common Threads of a close Walk’. This sermon is called, A Steadfast Soldier; it flows from Scripture found in Philippians 3:10-14 and is based on the life of the Apostle Paul. We can clearly see that this missionary had an earnest desire to know his Lord and Savior intimately. Out of that relationship came a determination to fulfill his God given call, with the desire to give God all the praise. We know that Paul finished his christian race triumphantly; but what about each of us. Are you in the race? Are we bringing God much glory?
A Sacrifice To Remember
A Memorial Day message, including some patriotic songs from our choir. Sermon based on (2 Timothy 2:3-9) We can be very proud of all our faithful soldiers that gave so much to protect all of our freedoms.”All gave some and some gave all.” A good soldier must be determined and stay focused, they also must be driven to finish the race, and finally must be diligent to work hard. We have thousands of great soldiers to remember, but only one Holy Soldier to Worship. Let us remember the high price paid for our freedom! ( we apologize for message being cut short)
