There will be a catered luncheon to follow, prepared by Papa John’s to follow. Please contact the church office at 770-482-8703 to secure your reservation.
Christmas Choir and Children
We are looking forward to some special Christmas music and some children’s songs to celebrate Jesus’ birth. Plan on staying after to enjoy a covered dish luncheon in the Fellowship Hall.
Christmas Eve Candlelight
Every Christmas Eve we meet for a beautiful time of worship as we prepare our hearts afresh the arrival of the Savior. There is always lots of music and a brief meaningful message on the new born King. The climax is at the end when the Sanctuary is lit up by hundreds of candles. Invite your family and friends and join us for this special time of worship.
Christmas Covered Dish Luncheon
Following a worship celebration filled with special music for the season, we hope that your family will be able to join us for lunch. Feel free to bring your favorite dish or desert and get in line for a great time of Christmas fellowship around the table. Call the church with any questions and we hope you will share some of your Christmas with us.
Celebrate Lord’s Supper
We look forward to celebrating the Lord’s Supper this coming Sunday at First Baptist Lithonia. This is always a very meaningful part of our time of worship. The Word of God instructs believers to do this in remembrance of Jesus’ sacrifice, and also cautions us to celebrate with humble reverence. The Deacons will be serving the Bread and Juice in the Traditional manner. Surely hope you will be able to join us!
Good Friday Reflection
We are excited to be able to have several from our church family share short, but powerful devotions reflecting on the message of the cross. In between these sharing times we will pause for meaningful times of prayer. Following this one hour time of remembrance we will be watching an exciting movie about the Resurrection. Hope you will be able to join us!
Hand Bell Christmas Choir
To make the Christmas season a little brighter for all of us; we are excited to bring back the Hand Bells! Ordinarily we have a beautiful singing choir to announce the Savior’s miraculous birth, but this year we are ringing the bells to celebrate. Come and worship with us in person when you are ready! You can also click on the Facebook icon at the bottom of our Home page and worship with us online. Advent season is always exciting, Don’t Miss It!! … and Merry Christmas.
2020 Vision
This is a message in a sermon series entitled ‘Life Changing Encounters’, based on Scripture found in Luke 18:35-43. Here we will discover that there are many different types of blindness. There are millions of people that suffer with the worst kind of blindness; spiritual blindness. Many others can see perfectly with their eyes, but are blind to the needs of others around them. Many others are blind to the plans and purposes of God, as he is working all around us. Come to Jesus by faith and receive your sight today!
Words of Blessing
This is the second message in a three part sermon series entitled ‘Choosing our words Carefully’, based on Scripture found in James 3:9-12. Here we are reminded that are very words can be viewed as an offering to God. How important it is that we offer Him our very best, because he is worthy of a pure sacrifice. Don’t let ugly words contaminate what the Lord desires. Words of encouragement and hope are especially needed today and are always a beautiful offering to God. May we speak words of blessing whenever we have an opportunity.
