The Grateful One


The final message in a sermon series entitled ‘Common Threads of a Close Walk’. This message is called The Grateful One and is based primarily on Luke 7:36-50. In these verses we see an amazing display of gratitude from a sinful woman whom the Lord chose to set free from bondage. She had experienced the mercy and grace of God and wasn’t going to let anything get in the way of her showing her thankfulness. We see a beautiful act of love, followed by a life of faithful devotion. This story begs each of us to ask a thoughtful question of ourselves: how thankful are we for what God has done in our lives and how do we show our gratitude?

The Beloved One


Message #8 in a sermon series entitled ‘Common Threads of a Close Walk’. This message is called The Beloved One and is based on Scripture found in 1 John 4:7-12. We will discover that one of the greatest assurances that we are truly walking with God is His amazing Love in our hearts. If we want to learn about this awesome love that only comes from God we don’t have to look any further than the example that our Lord showed us on the cross. And than finally; How are we supposed to respond to this amazing love and grace that we have received? How does the Father want us to treat one another?

A Steadfast Soldier


Message #7 in a sermon series entitled ‘Common Threads of a close Walk’. This sermon is called, A Steadfast Soldier; it flows from Scripture found in Philippians 3:10-14 and is based on the life of the Apostle Paul. We can clearly see that this missionary had an earnest desire to know his Lord and Savior intimately. Out of that relationship came a determination to fulfill his God given call, with the desire to give God all the praise. We know that Paul finished his christian race triumphantly; but what about each of us. Are you in the race? Are we bringing God much glory?

A Faithful Follower


This is message #6 in a sermon series entitled common threads of a close walk. Today our text comes from Psalm 40:1-5 and we will discover that David was a Faithful Follower. He was a man of prayer and was continually delivered from perilous situations because God was with him. He had a heart of true worship and is called a man after God’s own heart in the Word of God. How about each of us; Do we pray? Do we listen? Do we Follow?
