Recently we had a series of sermons focused on types of abuse taking place in our community. These were followed by a weekend seminar providing the opportunity to hear from several agencies providing help to the hurting. Our church will be conducting Lay Counselor Training to help equip several volunteer Lay Counselors to be a listening ear and voice of comfort to the downtrodden.
